Just returned from an inspiring trip with the US State Department to West Africa. We met President Sirleaf of Liberia, trekked to rural villages, and discovered gems like this one, in a local internet cafe:

Nice picture. I was in Sierra Leone last summer for my research and it was a challenge getting to connect to the other side of the world via the internet connection there. Also I came across computer training institutes that were converted to cyber cafes during business hours. I saw a lot of progress but they are still far. On the other hand, the moment I landed, I was able to connect with my family in the US via my local cellphone in seconds unlike the US where it takes one forever to get a prepaid card. Keep the good work flowing!
